On the Street
The sun was blazing down fiercely this afternoon bringing with it a riot of colour on the street. Amidst the sea of Celine and Isabel Marant identikits was a burst of individuality and riot gurl style. The message was: Be bold, be brave, have fun! Be it full on colour and print explosions or a sublte edgy details such as a studded cuff, pointed heel or sunglasses embellishment.

On me
Today I went for full on Vivienne Westwood – you will find out later why…I also wore some ‘Love’ earrings which also came with a ‘Hate’ pair from Primark and my favourite cat-eye sunglasses from TK Maxx.
On the Runway
The show of the day for me had to be One to Watch at Vauxhall Fashion Scout. This collective gives new up and coming designers the chance to showcase their work. It is the place to be to see the next big thing. We saw everything from minimalism, bondage, shimmer and cubism.

Back Stage
I also got a sneak peek backstage where I marveled at the handy work of the nail technicians, these ladies can do amazing things. For the Ones to Watch show nails were kept simple and clean with Ciate ‘Cutie Pie’. The fabulous pink leopard nails you can see belong to technician Sharon who has been my backstage mentor, filling me in on all the goings on, beauty trends and products the professionals really use.
A Detour
I also took an extra special detour late in the afternoon to the Friends of the Earth Rally. A Bit off topic for Fashion Week? Not when you have Dame Vivienne Westwood gunning for your cause. Vivienne and the other speakers had lots of interesting things to say which I will talk about in more detail after the craziness of LFW, including how she designed that amazing ‘Climate revolution’ dress at the Paralympics closing ceremony. However she asked me to tell you all that it would be her honour and pleasure if you read her blog and considered doing just one small and simple thing to help save the Earth.

What colorful people on a perfect sunny day! Agree?
I especially like the violet boots! It is something i have in my closet as well but a little bit smaller.
Loving the picture of the lady in the print dress and also the girl with the petal clutch. Looking awesome in VW, missing you xx
Nice round up – great to see such a riot of colour and not just the usual blogger cliche looks you see so much of. It’s awesome to see people having FUN with their looks.
Loving the style you’ve captured here; who needs clones? Expression rules.
Loving the lady in the VW outfit that was in another of your posts too, she has great style and your boots, to die for!! You have to love VW’s dedication to the cause, she’s so passionate about it, it’s just infectious!
