Outfit: Super Nature

(Wearing: vintage Burberry trench, vintage floral dress from Cow who now have an online shop), vintage Mulberry belt, vintage clutch, vintage purple suede gloves a gift from the fabulous Zoe, LK Bennett gold shoes from TK Maxx, necklace Eleni Dagaki)

I have so many things to talk about in this post, it is an outfit composed of treasured possessions indeed. My old Burberry trench I have told you about before became an absolute staple since the moment I bought it. It is quite simply perfect in every way. I have just managed to find a vintage trench liner to match it, so I can wear it in colder weather.  I will show you it once it has been cleaned and fitted. This cheerful floral dress was a recent find in my beloved Cow Vintage on the last shopping trip Florrie and I had. For some reason it was on the unloved sale rail for a bargainous £6! It has a wonderful row of tiny buttons up the front and a mandarin collar, with bright tulips on black. I also picked up a couple of other bits in Cow that I haven’t worn yet, can’t wait to show you. The gorgeous purple suede gloves were a gift from lovely Zoe, who sent me three pairs that belonged to her mother. They have been keeping my hands warm all winter. My ancient belt and beautiful clutch I have mentioned before (link above). The shoes a fairly new find in TK Maxx, I was meant to be saving them for Fashion Week but couldn’t resist! They were only £65 the rrp was around £200. This is the first pair of LK Bennett shoes I have bought, I really like the brand they have some really stylish pieces but I do think it has a bit of a frumpy image. As for the shoes they are very well made and a comfortable fit, I will be on the look out for more.

But of course the piece really catching your eye is the statement necklace. The day I discovered the designer Eleni Dagaki, I just knew I had found something special. Her jewellery is all created from natural woods and leathers with silver and other metals for fixtures. Eleni lives in Athens, Greece where all her pieces are hand crafted. You can view more of her truly unique designs on her website ‘Eleni Dagaki’. Each piece of jewellery is handmade to order, so the design of your choice really is personal and exclusive to you. Eleni kindly sent me my favourite piece.

In the design I choose (TO7) each triangle of wood is separately hinged so it can lay flat or be twisted up into different shapes. The strap is leather and the fastener two magnets embedded inside. I cannot tell you how delighted I was with this small detail, but it is carefully considered things like this which really show how much love has gone into the design. Eleni has some really beautiful designs other personal favourites are the twin ring sets (TO3) and the ebony and maple checker board necklace (CO1). I implore you to take a look at her other designs, they really are something to behold. The natural materials used give such a sense of warmth and calm. I am head over heels for Eleni Dagaki and will be saving up to buy my next piece.

What do you think of Eleni’s designs?

  • The necklace is truly a statement piece. I like the fact there’s not metal elements in it. I’m allergic to many metals so look for alternatives. This necklace can be worn with many outfits. Speaking of …you look wonderful. Love the colors in that dress, and how you make the most of it with purple pop of your gloves. Your accessories as always marvel me, the beauty of that purse and the delicious sparkle of your metallic pumps.

  • well, i got so many things to say:

1st, i love the way you’ve paired hot colors with neutrals: everything is perfect and in his amaing way “natural”.
2nd everytime i’m in London i give a look to LK Bennet shoes, but i don’t know why i never tried them, even if some looks delicious… maybe next time i will follow you ;)
3rd the best part of my life and my soul is greek, then i’m so happy to see Eleni’s work. I like her use of natural material in a geometric design, and also, i appreciate the attention to details, which is actually one of the most important things to me.

and as usual, hugs from italy!

  • Loving it! This is the best outfit I’ve seen on anyone for ages – that dress was a real find. The necklace is really lovely and a nice antidote to all the mega plastic ones around at the moment – looking forward to seeing it worn in other ways xx

  • I love the colouring and print in the dress, OMG I was wearing my favourite trench/gloves the other day as well. That clutch is stunning. I can see why you love Eleni’s customised designs, they’re beautiful, I will definitely check her other creations out.
*Deep breath, I have just a couple more weeks before heading off to score on eBay! hehe.

  • Hi Pearl, Jessie here, wannabe Londoner, we have been recently introduced by email, even though I have been following your blog for a while :) Anyway, I hope to see you during LFW. Love the trench, a stunning piece, the design by Eleni Dagaki is quite something. I like that it moves, that it can fall differently depending on how you wear it, pretty interesting. It’s the kind of thing I would wore over a simple dress or top in summer, but I must admit it adds a great finishing touch to your outfit.
